Next week my father would've been 98 years old. I still remember his last birthday. I didn't see him and he died a few days later on December 7, 1980. On a Sunday, early in the morning, he died in his store in Ecatepec de Morelos, State of Mexico, at the age of 62.

Mexico was not doing well economically, and he wanted to bring his family to the US. It didn't happen.

He was a man of principles, and I follow his example.
