Reading Menzies book [link] I feel like, when for whatever reason societies fail, some other groups of people come and take what they can, like in a big fire sale.
This week's G20 meeting in Mexico (below), rings a bell. Brazil, and the other emergent countries came to see what they can ripoff; and Germany, England, and the US, are nervous, very nervous.
